in shimelle's words -
"Throughout this class we’ll be focusing on getting more from the stash we have already acquired, no matter what your personal product of choice may be. We’ll go through a range of products you already have on hand and put them to use in new ways. We’ll step away from just gluing or stitching on a button and build something new. Plus it’s not just buttons we’ll be moving from stash to completed pages; we’ll also put stickers, ribbons, transparencies, papers, page protectors, chipboard and other supplies to work too. You won’t need to have specific supplies to follow along: we’ll focus on what you do have and offer plenty of alternatives along the way.
During the three weeks of class prompts, you’re invited to follow along and build an album entitled Celebrate Life. You can create this book in any page size you like with supplies you have on hand, and each prompt includes a page sketch and technique to help build the page as well as photography and journaling pointers to help with the complete album. But the class doesn’t end with just this album: each prompt includes a range of other techniques to try and projects to make. You can take inspiration from these at any time, just like a book or magazine."
you can read more about the class (like what you'll be getting as part of the class, or sneaks of some of the projects) or sign up head right over here!
anyways, shimelle asked 'lil old me if i wanted to contribute a layout to her class, and i said yes of course! here's a little sneaky peakie of my project...

she also gave me one spot to give away here :) to enter, leave a comment about something that's been inspiring you lately. i'm looking for some things to get me going creatively :) i'll leave comments open until tuesday afternoon until about 2pm PST, and draw a winner soon after that!

oh wow- what an awesome class. I'm totally inspired by the new releases from CHA-W that have been arriving in stores lately. I want to buy them all!
What's been inspiring me lately is memorabilia. Just the random stuff I save & then realize later -- hey, that totally belongs on a page! :D
Sounds like a great class! Here are a couple of blogs that I'm loving right now:
Penelope Loves Lists
(http://penelopeloveslists.com/)
Gina's Weight Watchers Recipes
(http://www.skinnytaste.com/)
I'm not doing WW, but all her recipes look so yummy!
Have a great Sunday! =)
First time visitor. Followed the link from Shimelle's Tweet. One of my resolutions this year was to save money so I try to win my way into the online classes I like.
Lately, I'm very inspired by Elsie Flannigan. She does such cute stuff.
Cheers,
Sophie
I'm inspired by the interior design world. Loving the color combos and mixture of patterns and textures in various room layouts all over blogland or magazines.
paying more attention to tv adverts recently - often lots of cool graphics/colours and quirky catchphrases. :)
Ohh goodness! Something to inspire you?!? That's probably why I need to take this class! Lol ;-)
I am absolutly loving playing with fabrics at the moment-making my own flowers and adding beautiful ruffles and frills to project. So gorgeous!
anthropologie's catalogues have been instant inspiration!
I'm inspired by nature right now! The fact that it is staying lighter longer and allowing me to get outside makes me feel more creative.
sounds like another awesome class!
lately, i've been getting inspiration from advertisements sent via email :)
Thank you for the chance to win a spot in Shimelle's new class! Looks great!
I've been inspired by vintage stuff, whatever it is -- from old wooden clock to old-school stationery :) And I've been inspired by people who make lovely and simply looking stuff from paper, especially little journals -- like LA from FreckledNest, Kara Haupt or Jamaica Edgell.
I would have to say gray. I love it as a neutral instead of black, or white. So many colors look beautiful next to it. But it's also pretty just by itself. Looking forward to this class.
I think what is inspiring me the most lately is reading all of the blogs posted in the 2peas blog threads every day. I get lost for hours!! I love seeing everyone's work!
Lately I've been getting inspiration from younger people. They have such energy, optimism and unbridled enthusiasm.
i have been inspired by the olympics. i loved all those MOM centered commercials and it really made me think about things my mom did for me and things i do for my kids. i have some pages in the works on both these subjects.

I am inspired by fabric and buttons at the moment.
I would love to do the Something for Nothing class for nothing please!
What a great offering. Would love a chance to take part in this class!
What inspires me? Just lately I have found an evening of playing with editing my photos on the computer inspires me. I take a whole bunch of pics that I guessed would never work for a scrapbook page and zoom in, crop and alter contrast etc til I am happy. Then I am ready to go with a whole bunch of new photos (in all shapes and sizes!) and full of fresh inspiration!

Lately I've been inspired by my niece's books and coloring books - I remember when the books we read had more pictures than words, and now, well it's the total opposite! I'm still a very visual person so I miss the colorful pictures in kids' books. I'm actually working on a layout to follow a page from a Dr. Seuss book! Having so much fun with it.
Inspiration lately? The Pioneer Woman's website and Bakerella's blogs. So much yummy goodness and the photography is awesome. :)
I just signed up to receive the weekly emails from Anthropologie...they're super inspiring! Very pretty!
Shimelle is actually inspiring me this year with her document 2010! I've been in a total slump, but have started pulling out supplies & even scrapped a few pages after reading her article. I'm also inspired by Alice in Wonderland & Tim Burton right now!

De-cluttering and spring cleaning my home has rejuvenated my creativity , now to win a place on Smilles class and use up some stash !!
I'd love to win a spot!
I seem to get most of my inspiration from blogs these days, though the longer days and the approach of spring are helping, too.
I have been so caught up with the Olympics that I have to say that it has been inspirational in so many levels. The energy has increased my levels of passion for whatever I put my heart into.
thanks for the chance, love Shimelle works

Going back and looking through my old magazines has been very inspirational for me lately. I started flipping through so I could toss them out but then I found all these awesome pages of inspiration I'd forgotten all about. =)
The Ikea catalogue I picked up there the other day is inspiring me at the moment!!!! Also the change of season & seeing the sun & spring flowers is inspiring me, refreshing & revitalising me & stirring up creativity within me!

What a great class!
I've been inspired lately by colourful embroidery thread and using simple one line journalling - back to the basics :)
Lately I've been inspired by retail catalogs - J. Crew, Pottery Barn, etc. I try to imagine making a scrapbook page or card based on the colors/layouts of the magazine pages.
Cool! Sounds like a great class.

I'm being inspired by all the spring colours...blue skies, bright sunshine, green grass, and the colours of spring flowers. I love opening my windows to let the fresh air in. Thanks for the chance to enter the giveaway - the class looks exciting!
I think the thing that has been inspiring me lately has been an empty craft table - I almost emptied my craft space (don't try to get to the bathroom in the middle of the night, the hallway is an assault course!) and I am only letting things I truly love back in! Yes it's a pain when I try to scrap & I want a specific stamp or sticker that's in the heap somewhere, but I have been so inspired so far by NOT having clutter around!
De cluttering, my stash is all old, I haven't really bought anything new in over a year, SHOCKER, but I was brutal and I went through my stash and got rid (sold and gave away) everything that I hadn't used or didn't think I was going to use.
It is empowering me to do stuff now !
Watching the Oscar's red carpet has definitely inspired me in a new way. Love all the colors and the "vintagey" look of all the styles.
I would love a chance to win a place on this class! It sounds fab and perfect for the current financial climate - we all need to use up our stash and I know dh would be thrilled if I could use mine!!
Shimelle's class in September "Learning something new everday" was very inspiring. Would love to follow along this new class!
And in case somebody wants to declutter their supplies... You can always send it to me :-)
Jacqueline
I am taking my inspiration from my surroundings. Wherever I go, I am trying to pay closer attention and look for colour combinations and design ideas. Would love to win a chance to use up my stash!
I have decided to scrap and write stories from the photos just lying around the house...ie those not in albums, beleive me they are many
I am sooo looking forward to tomorrow!! I can't wait to see what you all have in store for us!! To win back the class fee would be the icing on the cupcake!! Thanks for the opportunity!!
This class looks amazing - I'd love to win a place!
My current inspiration is from other people's clothing. We got married last month, and looking through the photos, I noticed some guests had the most amazing outfits and the colour combinations of different guests together looks fantastic. I always tend to stick to monotones of the same colour, but I've been inspired to mix and match now!
love the idea of this class...my craft room is overflowing! I'm inspired by spring finally showing it's face. :)
xoxo
